Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. Launch “Settings” and access “Display”
    4. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout options, access “Sleep” and select a lower value

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device” and tap “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. In the quick toggle area, tap the “Location” “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to turn the features off
    3. Open “Settings” and go to “Location”
    4. Tap “Menu” and select “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Turn “Tethering & Mobile hotspot” Off

    Switch to 2G Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by switching temporarily to 2G.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You might improve battery life in the long run by reducing the amount of data synced by your apps and accounts.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Tap an account type and the desired account
    4. Modify the sync settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform background processes regularly, and this can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times. To check if new updates are available:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates” and check if new updates are available for download
    4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the updates
