    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device” and tap “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features off when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth” “Wi-Fi” and “Location” quick toggles to turn the features off
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Location” for GPS
    4. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Expand “Wireless & Networks” > “Mobile networks”
    3. Tap “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not in use. You can potentially improve battery life by removing or disabling unused third-party apps.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps” and switch to “Downloaded” or “All apps”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. Tap “Force Stop” / ‘Disable”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates” and check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the update
