    2. Go to “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Access “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    3. Select an account type and account
    4. Change the available sync settings to minimize sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes and you can potentially improve battery life by disabling or removing unused third-party apps form the phone.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps” and switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. Tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    5. To remove the app instead, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates” and check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the update
