    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal” and tap “Backup & Reset’
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings” and go “Accounts”
    2. Select an account type and account
    3. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored when logging in with the backup account, or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC and locate the media files on the phone
    4. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC storage
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / ‘File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media backup files on the PC storage
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    5. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
