    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch Settings
    2. Go to Personal and tap Backup & Reset
    3. Enable Back up my data to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your account
    4. Enable Automatic Restore to allow app data to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch Settings
    2. Access Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Check Contacts if needed and tap menu > Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC and locate the media files on the phone
    4. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the computer

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the phone and PC
    2. Enable Media device / File transfer on the phone from the notification area or when prompted
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the computer
