Back Up & Restore App Data:

1. Open “Settings”
2. Go to “Personal” and tap “Backup & Reset”
3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your account
4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Access “Accounts”
3. Select an account type and the desired account
4. Tick the “Contacts” check box then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the Android phone.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
2. Enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification shade
3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
4. Navigate to the media files on the phone
5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a PC:

1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone, at the prompt or from the Notification shade
3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
4. Locate the media backup files on the computer
5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
