    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings” > “Display”
    3. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    4. Access “Sleep” for timeout options and select a lower timeout duration

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when they are not actively in use, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth” “Wi-Fi” and “Location” quick toggles to turn the features off
    3. Launch “Settings” and go to “Location” for GPS settings
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Temporarily Switch to 2G:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery you can switch to 2G phones temporarily to conserve energy until the next recharge.

    1. Open “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    2. Tap “Mobile networks”
    3. Tap “Preferred network type” and select “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select an account and change the available settings to try and reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Switch to “Downloaded” or “All apps”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Disable” or “Force Stop”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available and if so, follow the prompts to download and complete the process
