    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Personal” > “Backup & Reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when logging in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or by syncing the account data, and contacts, manually with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” on the phone, at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Navigate to the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and PC
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage in the folders of origin
    6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
