    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down
    2. Open “Settings” and go to “Display”
    3. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    4. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout options such as “15 seconds”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Device”
    2. Tap “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when they are not actively in use in order to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Launch “Settings” and access “Location” for GPS options
    4. Tap “Menu” and select “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Turn “Tethering & Mobile hotspot” OFF

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If you want to conserve energy until the next recharge, you can do this by temporarily switching to 2G.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Expand “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can change your account’s sync settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the desired account and change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes and this can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps” and switch to “Downloaded” or “All apps”
    3. Select the desired app and tap “Force stop” / “Disable”
    4. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Up To Date:

    NOTE: OS updates can potentially improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for new updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available for download, and follow the prompts to download and apply the update
