    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: if an application freezes, crashes, takes up too much storage or causes other issues, you can try solving these problems by clearing the app cache or data.

WARNING: when you clear an app’s data, all of your personal data stored with the app will be deleted, including custom settings and user profiles, save files, login information etc. To avoid losing personal data, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “General” and tap “Apps
    3. Select the desired app
    4. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t solve the issue, tap “Clear data” > “OK

    Clear the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone freezes, crashes, or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you want to factory reset it to solve these issues, alternatively you can clear the phone’s cache partition. This can have results similar to a factory reset without losing personal data from the device.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “Phone Management” and tap “Storage
    3. Tap “Internal storage” and wait for the phone to finish calculating the data
    4. Tap “Clear data” > “Clear” to confirm

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t solve the issue, visit this thread for instructions on how you can factory reset the device instead.

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:

NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you can try uninstalling the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps will be disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power
    2. Tap and hold “Power off” in the power management pop-up
    3. When prompted to “Reboot to Safe mode” tap “OK” (after the phone finishes rebooting, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
    4. To uninstall an app, launch “Settings” and access “Apps” > “All apps
    5. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK
    6. After the process completes, exit Safe Mode by rebooting the device normally
