    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If an app crashes, freezes, or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app cache or data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted, including user profiles, custom settings, login information etc. To avoid losing personal data, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “General”
    3. Tap “Apps” and select the desired app
    4. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache”
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t solve the issue, tap “Clear data” > “OK”

    Clear the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, or doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering a factory reset, alternatively you can clear the phone’s cache partition. This can have similar results to a factory reset without losing personal data from the phone.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Phone Management”
    3. Tap “Storage” > “Internal storage”
    4. Wait for the device to finish calculating the data
    5. Tap “clear data” > “Clear”

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t solve the issue, visit this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the phone.

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you can try uninstalling the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party applications will be disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. In the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power Off”
    3. At the “Reboot to Safe Mode” prompt, tap “OK” (once the device finishes rebooting, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home scree)
    4. To remove an app, open “Settings” and go to “Apps” > “All apps”
    5. Select the desired app
    6. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    7. Once done, you can exit Safe Mode by pressing and holding “Power” and tapping “Restart”
