    Clear App Cache or Data:

NOTE: If an application causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app cache and/or data. WARNING: when you clear an app’s data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. To avoid this, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Swipe up on the home screen from the bottom
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Access “Apps & Notifications”
    4. Switch to “All apps”
    5. Select the desired app and go to “Storage”
    6. Tap “Clear cache”
    7. If clearing the app cache didn’t fix the problems, tap “Clear data” (check the WARNING above)

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:

NOTE: Before factory resetting the phone, ensure you’ve backed up all of your data.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “System” > “Reset options”
    3. To reset network settings, go to “Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth”
    4. Tap “Reset settings” two times to confirm
    5. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps”
    6. To factory reset the phone, tap “Erase all data (factory reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase everything”

    Uninstall Apps from Safe Mode:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode, where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. Tap and hold “Power off” in the pop-up menu
    3. Wait for the phone to reboot and you should see a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
    4. To remove an app, open “Settings”
    5. Access “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “All apps” if necessary
    6. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    7. To exit Safe Mode, press and hold “Power” and tap “Restart”
