    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If an app freezes, crashes, or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing the issues by clearing the app cache or data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted, including user profiles, login information, custom settings etc. To avoid losing personal data, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “General” and access “Apps”
    3. Select the desired app and tap “Storage”
    4. Tap “Clear cache”
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t solve the problems, tap “Clear data” > “OK” (check the warning above)

    Clear the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone freezes, crashes, or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you want to factory reset it, alternatively you can try fixing the issues by clearing the phone’s cache partition. Doing so can have results similar to a factory reset without the loss of personal data from the phone storage.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Phone Management”
    3. Tap “Storage”
    4. Tap “Internal storage” and wait for the device to finish calculating the data
    5. Tap “Clear data” > “Clear”

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t solve the issues, you can check this thread for instructions on how to factory reset the device.

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall Apps:

NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should try removing the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold the “Power” button with the phone turned On
    2. From the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
    3. When prompted to “Reboot to Safe Mode” tap “OK”
    4. Wait for the phone to finish rebooting and a “Safe Mode” watermark should be shown in the lower area of the home screen
    5. To remove an app, launch “Settings” and go to “Apps”
    6. Switch to “All apps” if necessary and select the desired app
    7. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    8. Once done, exit Safe Mode by pressing and holding “Power” then tapping “Restart”
