    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If an app causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing it by clearing the app’s cache or data. WARNING! When clearing an app’s data, all of your data stored within the app will be deleted, including custom settings, login data, saves etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache:

    1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Go to “Apps & Notifications”
    4. Switch to “All apps’ if necessary and select the desired app
    5. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache”
    6. If clearing the app cache didn’t fix the issues, tap “Clear data”

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:

NOTE: Before you factory reset the device, ensure you back up all of your data.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “System”
    3. Tap “Reset options”
    4. To reset network settings, access “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth”
    5. Tap “Reset settings” two times to confirm
    6. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps”
    7. To factory reset the device, tap “Erase all data (Factory reset)” > “Reset phone”
    8. Tap “Erase everything” to confirm

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall Apps:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove an app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power”
    2. From the power management pop-up, tap and hold “power off”
    3. Wait for the phone to finish rebooting and you should see a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
    4. To remove an app, launch “Settings”
    5. Go to “Apps & Notifications”
    6. Switch to “All apps” and select the desired app
    7. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    8. To exit Safe Mode, reboot the phone normally
