    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If an app causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try to fix these issues by clearing the app’s cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all of your data stored within the app will be deleted, including user profiles, custom settings, save files, login information etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app’s cache.

    1. On the home screen, swipe up from the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Go to “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “All apps”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache”
    6. If clearing the app cache didn’t fix the issues, tap “Clear data”

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:

NOTE: Before you factory reset the phone, make sure you back up all of your data.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “System” and tap “Reset options”
    3. To reset network settings, access “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” then tap “Reset” two times
    4. To reset app settings, go to “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps”
    5. To factory reset the device, tap “Erase all data (Factory Reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase everything”

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode where all other third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power”
    2. In the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
    3. Wait for the device to finish rebooting. Once done, you should see a “safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
    4. Launch “Settings”
    5. Go to “Apps & Notifications”
    6. Switch to “All apps” if necessary
    7. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    8. To exit Safe Mode, press and hold the “Power” key and reboot the device normally
