Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. In the Notification shade, drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen
    3. Open “Settings” > “Display”
    4. Go to “Advanced” and tap “Sleep”
    5. Select a lower timeout value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can potentially improve battery life by disabling connectivity features when they are not in use. By doing this you can avoid unnecessary network scans throughout the day.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down while viewing the home screen
    2. Tap the “GPS (Location)” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggle and disable the feature
    4. Open “Settings” and go to “Network & Internet” > “Hotspot & Tethering”
    5. Access “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and turn the feature Off

    Remove Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform background processes regularly and this can potentially affect the device’s battery life when the apps are not actively in use. Thus you might improve battery life by disabling or removing unused third-party apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “See all apps”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for new updates:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “System”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Tap “Check for updates” and if new updates are available, follow the prompts to apply them
