    Clear App Data/Cache:

NOTE: if an app causes problems you can try fixing it by clearing the app’s data or cache. WARNING! When clearing an app’s data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. To avoid this, clear the app cache only.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “See all apps” if needed
    3. Select the desired app and tap “Storage”
    4. Tap “Clear cache”
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t solve the issues, tap “Clear data” (check the WARNING above)

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Phone:

NOTE: Ensure you’ve backed up all of your data before factory resetting the device, otherwise all of your data will be lost.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “System”
    3. Tap “Reset options”
    4. To reset network settings, tap “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” and tap “Reset” twice
    5. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps”
    6. To factory reset the device, tap “Erase all data (Factory Reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase Everything”

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall Apps:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. In the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off” and accept to boot into Safe Mode
    3. Wait for the device to finish rebooting and once done you should see a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
    4. Open “Settings”
    5. Go to “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “See all apps” if needed
    6. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    7. To exit Safe Mode, simply reboot the phone
