    Clear App Data/Cache:

NOTE: If an app causes issues or takes up too much storage, you can try fixing it by clearing the app’s cache and/or data. WARNING! By clearing the app’s data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. To avoid this, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Open “Settings” and access “Apps & Notifications”
    2. Switch to “See all apps”
    3. Select the desired app and tap “Storage”
    4. Tap “Clear cache”
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t fix the issues, tap “Clear data”

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Device:

NOTE: To avoid losing personal data from the phone, ensure you’ve backed up all of your data before factory resetting it.

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “System”
    2. Tap “Reset options”
    3. To reset network settings, tap “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” then tap “Reset” two times
    4. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps”
    5. To factory reset the device, tap “Erase all data (Factory Reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase Everything”

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove Apps:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” while viewing the home screen
    2. From the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off” and accept to boot to Safe Mode
    3. After the phone finishes rebooting, you should see a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen.
    4. Open “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications”
    5. Switch to “See all apps” and select the desired app
    6. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    7. To exit Safe Mode, reboot your phone normally
