Use the gmail account as the medium tomove contacts from xperia to xperia, sync contacts on old xperia to gmail account from Settings>Ac****>Google, select contacts, and then tap on Sync Now button on the right upper to sync contacts on old xperia to gmail account, then sign the same gmail account on new xperia, upload contacts on gmail account to new xperia.

Honestly, contact is very important files for us, so there are many ways to transfer contacts between two phone. There are 6 ways I know, such as Google Backup,Bluetooth,SHAREit, T-Mobile Content Transfer, AT&T-Mobile Transfer. There is another one that I know recently, MobiKin Transfer for Mobile. If you want to change your new phone, this is a very good tool because it can help transfer almost all the files with simple clicks.

To Transfer Contacts from an Xperia Z1s to a Sony Xperia Z5, the ways you shared are very cool. Actually, we can also use a third party program like Coolmuster Mobile Transfer to help us Transfer Contacts from an Xperia Z1s to a Sony Xperia Z5. With its help, not only contacts, but also data like text messages, photos, videos, call logs, books, etc.

    Using a Google Account:

NOTE: Using a Google account you can sync the contacts on the Xperia Z1s, and then sync the account data with the Xperia Z5 to transfer your contacts.

    1. Sign in with your Google account on the Xperia Z1s
    2. Press “Menu”
    3. Go to “Settings” and tap “My Accounts”
    4. Select “Google” and tap your “email address” or “user name”
    5. Enable “Sync Contacts” and tap “Sync Now”
    6. Switch to the Xperia Z5 and register the same Google account, then set it to sync contacts with your device

    Using the “Contacts” Application:

NOTE: Contacts can also be transferred by exporting them on the Xperia Z1s using the “Contacts” app, transfer the backup file to the Xperia Z5 manually or via email, and import the file’s contents using the default Contacts application.

    1. Launch “Phone” on the Xperia Z1s
    2. Access the “Contacts” tab
    3. Tap “Menu” and select “Export contacts”
    4. Select the contacts you want to export or tap “Mark all”
    5. Tap “Backup” > “Add contacts”
    6. Once you have created the backup file, start a new email and attach the file
    7. Send the email to your own address
    8. Switch to the Xperia Z5 and open the email to download the file
    9. Launch “Contacts” on the Xperia Z5
    10. Tap “menu” > “Import contacts” and select the location where the vCard file has been downloaded from the email
    11. Add the vCard file’s contents to your phonebook

NOTE: Alternatively, after you create the vCard file on the Xperia Z1s, you can connect both smartphones to your computer via USB, and manually transfer the file to the Xperia Z5 storage and skip the “email” part.

    Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Contacts can be transferred by using third party apps as well. Send Anywhere is an app that uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files from one phone to another.

    1. Visit the Google Play Store and install “Send Anywhere” on both devices
    2. Launch the app on both smartphones
    3. Tap “Send” on the Xperia Z1s
    4. Tap “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
    5. Tap “Send”
    6. Lastly, select a transfer method. Tap “Receive” on the Xperia Z5 to enter the transfer code from the Z1s, or tap “Generate QR Code” on the Z1s and scan the code with the Z5’s camera to begin the transfer
