I worked for a place that recorded all employee phone conversations, computer use, and had a camera:employee ratio of roughly 1:3. Snitching was encouraged. Having all hands stop to review camera footage and pull browser history was a regular thing. They were off the chain paranoid, and it did zero for productivity.

Yes, sometimes it is critically important. Because people may join the company as employees and organize industrial espionage and your financial data leakage. Speaking of finance, do you think that you have everything in place? You can check here for the best bookkeeping services in UK and ask them to audit your business so that you won't have any problems with law.

Refog Keylogger for employee monitoring software https://www.refog.com/employee-compu...-software.html can solve problems.
Refog Employee Monitor records and monitors your employee's activities and provides you on-site and remote access to employee's logs and computer screens in real time. The software-only solution can be installed in a matter of minutes, and does not require any hardware other than an ordinary PC. No special surveillance skills or security training are needed to successfully configure and operate Refog Employee Monitor.

I think employee monitoring is very important. Therefore I installed keylogger for android https://www.hoverwatch.com/free-android-keylogger and now I have the opportunity to find out about the location of my employees, as well as receive information about whether my employees use corporate mobile devices to solve assigned tasks and whether they are not in contact with competitors. Leakage of confidential and commercially important information about a company and poor employee performance are the main problems many companies face today.

It's even more difficult now. Many work online. And I'm not sure that everyone works and doesn't play or correspond on social media

I think it's going to be hard to track. You need to learn to trust your employees.
