    Back Up Application Data:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
    2. Tap “Settings” in the upper-right corner of the screen
    3. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data”

    Back Up Contacts Using an LG Account:

    1. Swipe the “notification” bar down and go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
    3. Tap “LG Backup”
    4. Tap “Backup & restore” > “Back up data”
    5. Select “LG Cloud” and when prompted, sign into your “LG Account”
    6. Select “Personal data” and deselect the other options
    7. Expand the “Personal data” directory and make sure “Contacts” is selected
    8. Tap “Start” to begin the backup
    9. At the “Back up completed” prompt, tap “Done”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Card:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “General”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
    4. Tap “Backup & restore” > “Back data”
    5. Make sure “SD Card” is selected
    6. Choose the items you want to back up and tap “Start”
    7. At the “Backup completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

    Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap “Settings”
    3. Go to “General” > “Backup & reset”
    4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
    5. Select “Media data” and deselect the other non-media options
    6. Expand the “Media data” folder and select the files you want to back up
    7. Tap “Start” to begin the process
    8. At the “Backup completed” message, tap “Done”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the LG G5 to your computer via USB
    2. At the prompt, tap “Media sync (MTP)”, otherwise make sure the option is enabled from the “Notification” area
    3. On the computer, open the File Explorer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media files on your phone
    5. Copy the desired files and transfer them in the desired backup location on your PC
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
