    Hi,

I also have the same problem.

I do not have the open gallery options for my sms.

Get Oxygen Ringtone Workshop. It will allow you to upload tones into the regular tone bank of the series 40 phones. These tones can then be selected even if you can't access the Gallery.

You may also try OPM II 2.1.5 or higher which allows you to set the profile to use a gallery tone for your sms.

I have the latest "infected" T-Mobile firmware V4.74 14-04-03 (NHL 4U). Lotta bug fixes from previous versions like the big backlight fix. I don't know where you can update the firmware and I would like to know where. I do know however that any authorized Nokia Service cetner or Nokia themselves can do this. I'm in Seattle and I need someone to do it locally.

    Interesting. I've got V4.18 07 / 12 /02 NHL 4-u.

What does that mean? Is the firmware can be updated?

I have a 6610. Go to Menu>Settings>Tone Settings>Message alert tone> and select PERSONAL. then you can click on open gallery there. Also if you want to check your firmware on the standby screen just put in *#0000# hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use downloaded ringtones in my tones folder of the gallery for my SMS ringtone. When I am setting the tone in the settings menu, It doesnt have "open gallery" as an option like it does for normal ringtones
