You can never get rid of the files from the phone....Its still stored as system restore files where you can't see.Try master reset n see them coming back.

all you'll lose is your saved pics, themes, games, sounds, and text messages, etc.

your addresses and contacts in your phone stay.

do you lose your addresses, personal photos, etc? what do you end up with, exactly, and how much do you have to reinstall?

well there is one way to free up memory, just by doing a master reset. the problem is that if you ever opened up an MMS that was on the phone, it takes up memory, which CANNOT BE RECOVERED. the only way is to do a master reset. it worked for me!

I did the 13second trick 4 times b4 i got it right abd it got rid of the wallpapers sounds mms temps themes and i was left with 500+mem. although i do have a IR device which allowed me to put stuff back on my phone

Today i tried this trick and it worked for me.
first i failed and did it in 11 sec. it deleted just some pictures.
Later i tried it again and this time i did it in exactly 13 sec. and it deleted all predefined melodies, games, themes, sounds.
i think this is really good trick!

The trick worked for me, but memory got confuse after that.
First I had about 590k free, and that was good. Sometimes, taking pics and sending them to the phone memory (to transfer by IR), memory suddenly goes down (to about 400k or so). When I delete pics and restart the phone, memory comes back to about 590k free. Sometimes I can store 7 or more pics (640x480, about 50kb each) in phone memory, sometimes it gives me the full memory error with 5 or less pics stored! Really weird...

That bullsh*t that i cant delete themes
  • 09-12-2003, 03:14 PM
u can erase almost everything by menu/settings/reset
  • 09-12-2003, 02:06 PM
    is this really true?
  • 09-11-2003, 03:09 PM
Yeah the 13second...or 12.5 second trick as i know it works well.
Basically, when you do a master reset, it deletes everything off the phones memory, then loads the defualt data back onto the phones normal memory off of a permanent memory. So basically if you remove the battery after 12.5/13 seconds, you can cut the power before the phone gets a chance to load its default pics etc back onto the phone :-)
