well i can help all of you guys. i phoned up nokia after having the same problem. i was told that yes it is a bug that the testers missed.
i was told to change the wallpaper though the settings > display settings > wallpaper route rather than the gallery.
now it works fine, and i can use the gallery route or the settings route now. hope i've been of help on this very frustrating problem!

dont know if this helps but the same happens to my 7210, my findings is that due to low memory the phone powers down. but im not to sure about the 7250i i just order one and ill find out in a few days when i get it.

few of my friend had this problem too.. din know how they solved it, not sure if there is any newer software versions for 7250i, try taking it to nokia service center to get the software updated

i have the exact same problem. I went back to where i purchased it and gave them a right rolleking. They gave me my money back and i bought a pan gd87. They made excuses saying that nokia colour fones are unreliable. Follow my footsteps m8
