Wow - that's pretty cool! Does anyone know if there are already phones playing MP3'?

I wouldn't mind loading a few wav's into my 6610. Wish it did MP3 data though.

Maybe I'll whip up an mp3 player in J2ME...

I have to disagree, nokia does not support wav, it does not record in wav, but produced amr. files which can only be replayed on a nokia amr player!

I have tried playing wavs when i first got my 7650, no way does it play ways unless you can prove it!

WAV file support has been in Nokia phones for a while now - the 6210-6310i and other phones with a voice recorder function actually store .WAV data. This becomes apparent when you use the content copier software to back the phone up - the recordings appear on the hard drive as a .WAV.

yes you can actually. Watch the bitrate tho as the speaker is only like 90khz and wavs can be 128 or upwards, hence wasting memory

I was checking out the specs on this cell and found that it supports WAV files?

Meaning you can have a WAV file ringtone? I've seen some telco ad on TV where some girl had the ICQ "Uh-oh" going off whenever she received SMSes ... that the 7650 in action?
