On that same note there is a company in Nevada I believe that will take a 240SX and convert to a Skyline like car by changing the engine, drivetrain, and other small features for much cheaper than most companies will charge to import a legal Skyline or convert an Illegal to legal one.

There is only one company in charge (or was as of lately) which was motorex, they were the only ones that did the compliance packaging, crash testing to meet DOT standards and legalize R32s, and R33, R34 are not eligle for legalization due to the OBD II comp systems which fails them under Calif emissions testing. RB Motoring however, has been working on a replacement ECU system for R34 that would allow driveability, and emissions test passing. Any others claiming to legalize skylines are not properly doing so and buyers are risking Customs recall of their car...
It is refreshing to see someone who actually knows what they are talking about present the information as you two have.

    Thank you.

What the heck is a "ploce" car?

Um, and you can't outrun a Motorola.

    Ever.

    it be phan
skylines are illegal cuz they DO NOT:

    1. meet federal crash test guidelines. (root problem)
    2. meet emissions rules in most states. (cali)

no automaker will spend the money to certify a car for US sale unless it will meet requirements to sell in all 50 states. you can import them, but only if you certify that they're for off road(ie racing) use. you can also import them if you get the right licenses and permits and you intend to modify them to meet US crash standards, and pay to have them certified. so unless u got that money 2 buy a actual powerful skyline WITH the actuali RB20/25/26/30 engine AND pay all that, better be rich, and damned rich.

they indeed have a VERY powerful engine AND a light body , but that has it consequence
    http://www.japanesesportcars.com/galleries/cat54.htm
which is why it doesnt meet crash test guidelines. your pretty much dead after a crash
