i got the ngage and i think the picture and the sound quality of everything is great. Its kind of hard to access stuff though. What I hate about it is that the numbers on my sim card has to be copied to the phone individually and it has to be stored on the phone to send text messages. Feels funny and all my friends made fun of the way u gotta talk on the phone. I dont know how to erase my text messages other than erasing one by one. I need to figure out how to erase the whole thing.

Is it worth gettin an N-Gage?

I've heard differing reports saying the display isn't that great and holding the phone to chat isn't exactly brilliant either

The N-gage can store several different types of files...without sounding too geeky, they can handle the monophonic tones and polyphonis tones ie MIDI's - it has a system called true sound to code tones but you should find that any tone should store in your media folder
