The 3595 can only play midi with 4-chords. And for you to do this you can use Anvil Studio to remove unecessary tracks and trim it down to 4 tracks or instruments. Then I tried to upload the modified midi but it still doesn't play. So what I did is use the Nokia PC Suite's Sound Converter and modified the polyphonic values of the tracks and upload the re-modified file to my phone. After doing so, you can hear the midi play perfectly.

Any ring tone converter will solve your problem, all you have to do is look only for your phones settings and convert it to them. Also deleting old ring tones helps free up space, if that also a problem.

If you load it in AnvilStudio, any midis in Format 0 will give you some sort of weird message. You could also try splitting the tracks in AS to make sure it gets to Format 1 and see if that helps.

I have midis that work on my phone that are over 2 minutes long, however there are shorter ones that do not work. I doubt that the primary reason for the midis not working are their length.

Can somebody help me? PLEASE!!!

Just get the software Anvil Studio and/or Mobile Music Polyphonic and pick out the four channels that best fit the sound. I don't think the size even matter.

Yes, that's technically true, but the fact remains that people have previously stated on this thread that midi files where there are more than 4 notes playing at the same time DO play on their phone (the extra notes just are not played). The issue is that while some of these files work, other's cannot even be opened.

Those phones cannot play more that 4 midi tunes at the same time. That's why some midis work and another ones don't.

Could it be the type of midi it is? Format 0 vs. format 1?

ive experienced with my phone that u can sometimes play midi's with more than four channels, however it will omit the extra channels i think, to an extent. I may be wrong. I have had midi's that have been from 5-20 kb and have varied in length from 20 seconds to 1minute plus so its pretty leniante (sp?) with midi's. You just need to know how to edit them to get them down to 4 channels and still sound nice

I have the 3595. You can have only 4 different tones or channel. You can use any midis, but you have to edit them. You can use Anvil Studio and/or Mobile Music Polyphonic. Just pick out the four channel that you can use to make a good sounding midi.

I've got the same Problem with my Nokia 6100.

The Ringtones, that no play on my phone have a size more the 10kB. But some ringtones greater than 10kB work on my phone.

I think, the Problem is the length of the midis.
