i have a d500 the first sammy with bluetooth, i just got it the other week finally from ebay, and this is definitely an amazing phone, i would have gotten the p735 but the no-bluetooth thing killed it. but samsung is great man!!

also have an a660, its not a flashy phone, but it works for the most part, i think it needs more memory because that 1mb fills up quick when you have a picture and seperate ringer for everyone in your phonebook, plus the browser seems really slow, but that might just be my crappy reception

I am a newbie to samsung, I usually go with Nokia. But I just got the e715 and it's o.k. I just don't like that its hard to get free ringtones for it being as they have to be SMAF. I know about the converters and all but it still sucks having to go through all that

I just got my A660 in July of 2004, and I'll stick with it for a while. It may not be the newest thing around, but it has more than enough features on it to keep me happy for a long time!!! (or at least until 18 months when I can get cash towards a new phone)

a670 phones are da bomb! Screw GIN, just get a data cable and free software, and customize yer phone to yer hearts content.

I am a semi-proud owner of the E715 with faded screen. At first I thought
my phone was defective but I hear that it is a common problem with this
model and the only fix is to send it back for warranty replacement. My
girlfriend did that and 4 months later her screen started fading again, so
looks like there is no permanent fix. Aside from that, the bad battery life and
non-standard hands-free jack I like this phone over all others I've owned.

I started with Nokia 8290, then Samsung S105, Motorola T720i, Samsung V200 and now this one. I notice that Samsung is the only manufacturer
that provides free software to connect PC to phone.

    Anyone else?

I got a Samsung A600 because someone I know switched from Sprint to Verizon rendering their Sprint Samsung A600 useless to them, but benefiting to me. I replaced my Evil Sprint Sanyo 8100 with the Samsung A600 and the A600 is better than the 8100 in every way!!! :-)

    Way to Go Sammy!!!

I've had quite a few models

Samsung SPH-A540 - pretty useless on a crappy provider
Samsung SPH-A520 - same as above, would overheat
Samsung SPH-A500 - expensive but nice design
Samsung SGH-V205 - nice screen, low volume
Samsung SGH-V200 - same as above, just unbranded
Samsung SGH-S300 - I need my Camera phone back!
Samsung SGH-P400 - cool design, better ear piece volume
Samsung SGH-E715 - I like this phone a lot, almost perfect

    and I will be getting

Samsung SGH-P730 - Amazing phone, with 1.3 Megapixel camera, Swiveling Screen, Twisting screen, Internal 64MB, MP3 player, Video camcorder funtion and player, Expandable Memory, 262K TFT internal screen, 256 OLED External Screen, and I think *64 chord polyphonic ringtones*.

Right. These new phones from samsung only look delicate but indeed are tough. I mean just yesterday Mom dropped my C100 on the road from about 4.5 feet. Nothing happened. Coincidentally I dropped the 6610 from the same height(no, I was not doing a comparison test!)at home and oh my god! The front face plate, back plate, battery, and the keypad were directed towards the vertices of a quadrilateral with the phone at the centre. It's vibrator stopped working, but then I banged it a little less harder on the sofa and it worked anyway. Note that my C100 was dropped on the road and in India roads are not that good, while my nokia was dropped on tiles.
Moral of the Story: Samsung Rule in Strength

Right you are. I can't transfer even a single picture or ringtone to it.

SAmsung has yet to have a BT phone....
Anyway, it's IR is another pain-in-the-a##. only able to send things into phone. in terms of product packaging, samsung is much better than Nokia, imho
