well...i think all symbian phone are the best..but i like 6600 the most... The best thing about symbian is that you can find the crazyest apps for it..i've just downloaded a few new ones from http://symbianapplications.net/ and i've just made my 6600 a smarter smart phone

For me I think 6630 is the smartest phone. Well the other is nokia 7610 but its not on the choices.. so i choose 6630.. well i like the muvee software of nokia.. have you heard of this... it has cool background themes that you can apply on you movie clips... i.e. the paparazzi

i dont really know much about the smart phones and what classifies them as that, but nokia always makes a good product.

Yeah I know, the Vodafone branded Nokia 6630 has a 32mb DV RS-MMC (against Nokia's policies, the no brand version has a 64mb memory card). Hope they'll never get a chance to sell this phones!!!

Yeah, the Nokia 6680 looks promising, but 3G has just been introduced here and it isn't that popular yet, to add to that, all the 3G phones here are expensive, so i don't think i would need 3G at the moment.

300 pounds is quite reasonable... and yeah, i know how u feel using 64MB mmc's... am currently stuck with a 64MB RS-MMC with my 7610, but i'm saving up for other stuff, so i don't really want to buy a new MMC...

Anyway, ur lucky u got the 64MB RS-MMC, i read that some ppl who bought asian sets got 32MB RS-MMC!!! Imagine being stuck with 32 MB only...

I agree with you @ndres, you should wait to buy the phone if the price is too high. We were lucky in Italy cause they sell it for 300€ to stimulate people to use new services like videocalls (it's a shame this phone hasn't a double camera... Nokia has a new Symbian smartphone on the way for 2005, 6680 , that will fill this lack). DV-RS MMC are still unavailable, at the moment I'm feeling like I bought a plane but I have to use it like a bycicle... 64mb are way too few!
Anyway, I know that a new firmware release will be out soon... hope this will fix the connection problems!
    Bye

If you read this article, you'll probably be convinced that this is the best smartphone ever! Tomorrow I'll take some pics and upload them on my web page, so you will check the quality (much better than 7610, in my opinion). I have a few problems because 3G (UMTS) signal it's still badly supported by my local operator (Tim), so the phone frequently passes to 2G (Edge or Gprs) and this causes a few resets. Another problem is that most of the software is taken from previous Symbian phones, hope they'll soon start to develop apps designed for this phone (6630 has a brand new OS, Symbian 8.0). Can't imagine when they will release software that fully supports the 1.3 megapixel camera (like Photographer or Camera FX)... quality will even get better!
No doubt, it's worth the buy... hope it will be released soon in your country!
Thnx, actually, if i really wanted to, a place where i'm staying has the 6630, but it's over-priced (usually the case of a phone when it hasn't been officially released yet). Thus, u see, if i want to get it, i'm most probably gonna buy it when it released and when the price has dropped.

(Oh btw, the 6630's i can get here are actually direct imports from other countries, and it has the "TIM" logo on the cover as well...)

Yeah, i've glanced through the review of the 6630 cam a few days ago and was very impressed with the it,... didn't expect it to be better than the cam in the s700i but the review said that it's closest compeititor is the GX 30 which was the best cam before the 6630 came out so i'm really impressed.

Yeah, different OS differs in the apps used, u would just have to be a little patient..

Another problem with the 6630 is that it uses DV RS-MMC rite, thus, u will be stuck with the MMC given to u in the package till more DV RS-MMC are released.
