I like this version much more than the older

This is a great version. I guess sometimes bands just want a little bit of variety. It sounds awesome.

by the way mayooya, what other evanescence tones do you have?

the album wasnt what brought them to fame, considering the movie and daredevil ost sucked, it was bring me to life that got them to the top, and which is why their cd's sold out in many store the day it came out
and the purchase of their cd is definitely worth it

Actually the 'new' version has its origins from the tour, where it was the last song the played. Amy started out and then at the end the band joined it. Bit like Jackson Browne's 'Stay'

The slow version was originally on the OST of Daredevil - which was incidentally the album that propelled them to fame

what is the difference between the newerband version and the normal one?

its all about marketing... the album version is a slow ballad and wouldnt really appeal to the alternative rock or 'top 40' stations. so they added guitars to make it more mainstream. i just wish they made a version with guitars thruout the entire song Hidden Content

btw they play the album version on the top 40 station where i live Hidden Content

i guess it sounds better and they wanted to shoot the video so they wanted the entire band in it..so they maybe re-recorded it with the full band version
