battery life on the p900 lasts about 4 days. now the only way you have to charge the fone up "all the time" is due to bad usage. you send a message, you run a game, you take a photo, you call someone..

and the thing is.. everything you just did is still open. the games dont always exit, the camera doesnt shut down automatically, the messages stay in memory, just like your contacts.. what he needs to do is install something like 'Switcher' a free program that acts as a task manager. It will close all open programs except for the required ones in just one click. that will enhance battery life a LOT.

as for the fones... the p900 is a PDA, not just a cheap PDA either.. it has just as many features as any other PDA on the market and you can call people from it. it's highly customisable with themes, the menus can be changed, and you can have mp3 files as ringtones with memory expandable to 256mb.

if you don't care about the themes, mp3 ringtones or a blue look to the fone, get the p800 since it does almost as much but costs much less. i have both here and i still use my p800 more (thats cos i dont want my p900 gettin rugged before im through with my p800). The Nokia may be cheaper but I have used it and I wasnt that impressed.. I would go for the Sony-Ericsson, they are leading the way now

I think the p900 is good however the draw back is it would a pain in the ass to use while driving, i use my 6600 on the move with bluetooth, obviouly they are two different type of phones, the p900 is also a pda at heart, the 6600 does have useful features.

By the way, the phone is only as good as its battery life, my mate is charging his p900 up all the time, useless if infact you intend to me very mobile!! technology will catch up eventually i suppose. This lithium polymer is supposed to be even better than lithium ion, still got a way to go eh!!!

    still i nice phone though!!

Yup, P900 is based on the Symbian 7.0 while Nokia is based on Symbian 6.0(that's why Series 60).
True, P900 prices are hell ranging from $750 onwards. In comparison XDA2 costs $800 odd and is lightyears ahead of the P900, Nokia 6600, and the SX1.

One big difference is that (I think) the P900 has a touch screen and the Nokia 6600 doesn't. This makes the P900 far easier to use.

no. It has got 65536 colours.
It actually is an old 3650 in a new casing. The main and only difference is that it has a 2x digital zoom which would pale out in front any optical zoom cameras. Anyway, i never knew people bought phones for camera. P900 is good.

Well, it seems noone knows abt the XDA 2. It costs just a little over the p900 and has even more features. I say if you are buying the p900, just increase your budget and go for the XDA2 (ie MDA 2 or the HTC Himalaya). It's worth it.

    look at the phone spec...
6600 is merely a N60 with newer s/w and more memory.
is it still 4096colour? anyone can confirm?

P900 IS THE WAY TO GO!
