The phone didnot short circuit because it was working on a lower pd. Now, if you had put the 7250 battery in the 3360, it was bound to have short circuit and blow up.

Put 3.6V in place of 3.7: Lesser battery life.
Put 3.7V in place of 3.6: Total Destruction.

I found a 3361 in my brother's room and i put my batter into it (7250i) to make it work. I had to hold it there but i was still able to operate the other phone, even tho the battery it took was obviously much bigger.

No, but you could try opening it if you have spare time.

I don't need to buy a battery, I have the original for the 7250i
just needed to know if the battery from my now defunct "Contact Service" 3310 could be used rather than tossing it in the bin

Nope,.. i don't think so,... 3310's batt is bigger than 7250i's batt,...
I couldn't even fit my 5210's batt in 7250,... and as infrablue had said,.. the volts are different....

I want to know if I can use the battery from my Nokia 3310 (busted) in my new Nokia 7205i ?

    It says BMC-3; 3.6V NI-MH
