I would take the FX45

I'd take both

I hate the styling on the lexus so definately the Infiniti

mcb_ucb hit the descriptions right on. my uncle has a fx45. it's a sweet car, but i'm not too fond of the styling (however, it's growing on me everytime i see it).

The FX and RX are almost complete opposites in terms of the audience that they are trying to attract.

The FX is aimed toward the sporty personality that doesn't mind better handling and performance at the expense of comfort. Not to say that the FX doesn't provide a luxurious environment but in comparison to the RX many would agree that the quiet isolation is second to none.

If you're the type that likes to mash the accelerator at every stop light to feel the G's or hitting corners at a high speed (although not recommended in an SUV) then I'd say the FX is more your type (you'd probably go for the FX45 for the crazy power thought).

But if you like leisurely quiet that drives, while being cuddled in buttery-soft leather seats then I say the RX is your vehicle.
