yeah my brother has the 3200.... punk i don't know anyone that has either of those phones, but yeah i'm certain the dimensions are the same
Hmm... interesting conversation... Infra, you have one choice. Find a fellow who has a 7210, and ask him if he'll trade his keypad+front plate for your keypad+front plate. I mean we never know if anyone fancies the 7250 layout. I'ma pretty sure that the 6610/7210/7250 front plates are interchangeable, coz: 1. I've got 6610 2. Me friends got 7210, and when I borrowed it from him (for placing an important call, coz i forgot mine at home), the dimensions felt exactly same(even the thickness). Thus, I'm deducing that 6610/7210 are interchangeable. 3. I saw a fellow student having a 7250i, and by the looks of it it looked exactly same as the other two in dimensions. So, I'm saying that go to a nokia priority dealer or something and ask for a 7210 keypad, then you can buy the 7210 xpress on(original or fake, whatever) and then punch a hole for the back, else just change the front, it'll look whacky especially if the colors are totally different. Lucky @ndres, he can just print out the covers.
yeah i kinda like to collect lots of faceplates.... i would buy a 7210 one if i was sure it would fit. my guess is yes cuz my phone feels hollow, and the clear faceplate reveals a lot of wasted space.... wasn't someone gonna check if it fits?
Oh,... so u still want the 7210 cover?? I thought u've made up ur mind on just using a 7250i cover,.... I doubt u can order pirated covers on the net?? Like a 7210 which is specially fitted for 7250i
andres what was that first post all about? the plates i bought weren't conversions, but i want one.
Originally posted by Infrablue03 speaking of the pirating thing, when i went to beijing they had this place called the silk alley that was a bunch of independent shops (in an alley) that sold a bunch of pirated crap. they had shoes that said nike on the outside on reebok on the inside. there were scary guys walking around in trench coats stopping all the kids and saying nothing more than "cds?" lol,... Yeah,.... my parent's went to beijing last year and said it was quite crowded everywhere and had loads of pirated stuff,... seems like they lots of pirated apparells there,...
Oh,... so u've decided to get a 7250i cover afterall huh,... never mind if it's fake or anything,... if it works and looks nice,... then that's about it...

right well getting back to my question (no i'm not self-centered) i am registered with ebay already but i haven't found anything like what i'm looking for. i have a black and silver faceplate, both from ebay, that have nokia written on them. I'm pretty sure they were originally OEM plates but where spray painted or something cuz they have the insides engraved and everything, but i know nokia doesn't make those colors for 7250i, plus they don't have accompanying keypads with nokia written on them. i don't really care who made it tho as long as it still says nokia on it and doesn't suck too bad.
All this is because nowadays software is more expensive than hardware.
Originally posted by ski_power Same here. No one's really bothered, even PC CD's, you can buy them pirated on the roads itself.(around $2), there's an entire area(not lane, not street, but area) that sells pirated CD's and noone's even bothered. Irony is that even policemen come there and buy pirated Cds LoL,... Policemen as well??!!! Yeah,.. probably almost the same situation in Malaysia as well,... Times Square's (not the one in US) probably one of the most popular places in KL and it has lots of pirated CD shops,...

It's supposedly legal here cuz none have any brand, let alone 'Nokia',... so they can't catch them (stores selling un- original covers).... I'm not so sure about ur country though,... Unless the piracy rate is exceptionally high,... i don't really think Nokia will take much action...
So you mean it's actually legal to sell those covers. Nokia could file a design infringement suit, but I suppose malaysia is like India, you try to suit just for the heck of it you'll be j****d yourself.
hmm,... interesting,... In Malaysia, as they print Nokia on the cover itself,... it's illegal to sell it,... but since they don't print Nokia on the cover itself here,... it isn't illegal....
