my phone now is only 65 k limit for apps and i haven't had that many problems so far.

i'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks this phone is awesome but ugly. you can't have everything, i guess. it looks good from some angles..... speaking of looks: so is it about the same size as the 3100 or what?

also, could someone elaborate on the stereo output zloty mentioned above?

BTW what is the application limit on the Series 60 phones?

Maybe they limited so that their S60 phones sales don't get blocked, as power users would still stick with the S60 phones then.

    the nokia 6230 , is a perfect phone !
the only problem that it has IMO , it is the memory ( we don't know how much xactly u can add , up to 256 MB will be great )
and the 2nd problem is , why only 128 limit to application ??!!?!
it's stupid i think , why to limit it ?

True, but if it was designed like the 6610 or a better variant, then it was a sure-shot killer phone. What more could you expect with features matching the 6600 and looks matching the 6610, it would be the perfect combination. But maybe there must have been space restrictions, thus they went for such a design.

EDIT: My money hopes to rise higher.(howabout $20000)

I agree. Nokia 6230 it's one of the most complete phones I've seen when it comes to features.

Design could be improved [ not really a die hard fan of it ] but then again...it's not that bad looking.

Edit: Ski, CPF Money: $6263, now that's some CPF money. Damn

Not only MMC, it also supports TCP IP, and even Multitasking.
The 6230 poses a direct threat to the SonyEricsson T630 and WILL win easily.

It's got an impressive feature list. It has 6MB direct comparison to the 6600. I say that 6600 is dumb, and unclassy in front of 6230.

The final war will be: 6230 vs T630

the 6230's MMC capability is its biggest drawcard i feel, coupled with mp3 capability and stereo output; its a dream

does anyone know if it will accept ANY MMC card sizes?? as in, replace the 32mb one that it comes with, with a 256MMC card? That means its better then most mp3 players u can buy atm, besides iPods of course

    Of course.

    GSM/EDGE technology.

Like GSM/GPRS. EDGE It's just a faster transfer rate

    CSL is GSM, right?

CSL is a provider in hong kong, one of the first ones to ever implement a fully edge compatible network.

    Scakurs, what's a CSL?
The best spot for the 6230 would be around $400. Any higher, all the fellows would contemplate buying a 6600 instead.
