You can only use brew programs & applications. I have 127 brew games on my harddrive, I'm about to send you some. The files aren't big, so I can use your e-mail. I'll send text instructions, on how to upload them

I got the flash to work using PST 6.7!

Field update is the option there. and then at the software section select the Flash file.

    Then Go!

It took about 20 mins, but the Openwave browser and GetItNow are there....still works with my cricket service. Phonebook, graphics, screensavers, and all ringtones were preserved. The only thing I had to do was reassign my soft keys and change the voicemail setup.

Now, if I could only get some games to put on it. Being that I don't have access to the Get It Now (because I'm not on Verizon), I have no way of getting brew applications, that I've found. I've read somewhere that Brew now supports J2ME...I would like to know how to load them and test them out. I can get J2ME programs.

    Someone please elighten me!

Thanks for the link....got the files. Now, I can't get MSS or PST to load this pcf file. Do I rename this to .VFL for the MSS to flash it?

I'm at a loss as how you flashed this file.

I finally did it! I had to flash my phone with a verzion 1.2.22.2dp firmware,
then use gagin to upload games. So, many people said it wouldn't work. It, also open the web browser option too. The phone has everything that's verzion, but it still uses cricket service

I'm working on that very question as I type. I've read in various places around the globe about flashing/unlocking/flexing to get things working....but there has been no detail on what flash does exactly what and will current provider still work. I've called Cricket about the Brew option not in the main menu and they stated that they do not block anything in the phone and referred me to Motorola. I called Motorola and they said that the service proider does the software install, not them and referred me to a local Motorola service center in my area that is also affiliated with Cricket. I called that store and they said they send the Cricket phones to Motorola to get flashed and that they can't do them there. All three places would not confirm or deny that flashing with different model's firmware would enable the browser and brew. I've read that flashing the T720c with the T730's firmware works, but no info on what's new and whether the current service provider is still working. And there has been no mention as to what the flex file is all about.

I have found that one of the employees at my local Cricket store was having someone enable and install games on her T720c. I have to make a trip back there and have a chat with her to find out exactly what was done, if it indeed worked.

That's my research and would love for someone to clerify if they know what to do with what and what exactly to expect when trying to enable the Brew applications on a T720c. Verizon has this option enabled and you have to pay to download the games through the Get-It-Now option.

I've tried Motorla's MSS software to "unlock browser and Wep", but it tells me that the phone cannot be found, yet it was able to get the ESN, and I was also able to copy the entire EPROM to a file. PST allowed me to backup the phone directory and also upload the ringtones and graphics that was prepared with the M-Services editor. Communication with the phone is not an issue except when trying to unlock the browser. I also don't know if unlocking the browser will unlock the brew option in the main menu....mine's not even there. I've followed all the steps that I can find. I know that the Java apps are not supported on this phone at all....but if reflashing to the T730 will enable that I would like to know....and if the phone will still work with the current service proider.

There's my fustration that's gone nowhere but circles.
