    Nonsense.

These links work just fine, as long as you RIGHT-CLICK and SAVE AS.
They do NOT work if you just click on them, because geocities doesn't allow hotlinking.

    I did say so, though:
Right-Click -> Save As should do the trick! If for whatever reason that doesn't work, click Hidden Content instead!

the red line on her is wrist Kabalah bracelet.
the back of her head is bleeding and we see this because of the blood shown on the inside palm of her hand, not her wrist.

    Wob Reviews 'Everytime'

It was March 2002. Britney and Justin had just broken up and Britney was on her way to Europe for her European promo tour of 'CrossRoads'. One night, while laying in bed at a hotel room in Germany, she began reflecting on what had happened, she grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, and 'Everytime' was born.

I decided to wait a little with the review because I didn't want ours to be read together with all the others that were being spit out from different media sources, so that's why you're not getting to read it until now.

The music video connects the fans to Britney from a perspective they usually don't see nor understand, because it's portrayed from the view of her private self. I've always said that there's a huge gap between the public and private versions of Britney, the latter, which we rarely get to see, and most likely, because we wouldn't understand it, unless we were in her shoes.

By now you've most likely read a lot of reviews made by tabloids and other sources suggesting Britney commits suicide in the video, but their ignorance has shun through for not understanding the concept of the video.

Even though the movie makes the viewer feel like this happens in Vegas, the hotel which Britney drives up to is actually The Hollywood Renaissance here in Los Angeles on Highland Avenue between Hollywood Blvd. and Franklin Ave. The aerial shot of The Palms Hotel where Britney is a regular at (including the night she got married) reassures her relationship with George Maloof, the owner. When we see Britney drive up in the limo, we see a billboard advertising a concert she's about to have in Vegas with four palm trees behind it, once again, resembling the Vegas hotel (the palm trees were brought in especially for the shoot).

When the music video begins, it gives the impression as if Britney has just had a rough night out with her boyfriend played by Stephen Dorff (Cold Creek Manor, Deuces Wild) although he's the one who shows dominant hostility towards her, most likely because of the pressure he finds himself under for dating her, which later explains why he grabs all the magazines/tabloids with Britney on the cover and throws them at a paparazzi. Please notice the bottle of Jack Daniels and the bottle of Crystal laying in the seat and on the floor of the Limo.

As they arrive to be taken inside the hotel through the maintenance entrance, the limo is swarmed by paparazzi and fans, and even though I thought Britney fans were wrongfully portrayed in this video, I realized that it strengthened the message Britney wanted to give away in the video. As soon as she gets out, both Britney and her boyfriend, protected by two bodyguards (who are in real life, Britney's bodyguards) get mobbed, almost to a point where Britney loses her balance and almost falls.

LaChapelle (The Director) did an amazing job portraying the facial expressions of the people mobbing her, using her for her fame, their faces almost gave me the feeling of 'I know you're famous, I want to get a picture of you so that I can make money off of you, I am enjoying the stress this is giving you, you rich *****.'

Once Britney's taken inside the hallways, the feud with her boyfriend continues and it grows bigger as he begins to show physical aggression by kicking a couple of boxes out of his way. Britney gets enough of him and even though she originally tried to get his attention, she gets pissed off at his drunkenness and obnoxiousness, which leads them to start fighting as they enter the hotel room. The boyfriend then realizes what he did and comes forward to say sorry and as he's about to hug her, Britney pushes him away, and when he realizes he's not getting it his way, he grabs a huge flower pot and throws it against the wall, breaking it as hundreds of sharp pieces from it bounce off the wall.

Britney then proceeds to the bathroom clearly pissed off and throws the water from inside a glass against the bathroom mirror......and what this symbolizes is that it wakes her other self up, or her mirror image (as we see the Britney in white turn around showing a worried face), it then reverts back to show Britney in the bathroom as she looks at her mysterious beauty in the mirror one more time. She then proceeds to take her clothes off (expect continued nudity in upcoming videos) and gets inside the hot tub.

What is originally seen on Britney's wrist is the Kabalah bracelet she always wears, which further suggests that she's playing herself, and not a character. Following is the scene that everyone seems to be confused about. Does she purposively hurt herself because she wants to end her life? No!, which is why this video doesn't suggest suicide. She realizes that the back of her head is bleeding and we see this because of the blood shown on the inside palm of her hand, not her wrist. A shot from above follows where we see a trail of blood coming out from the back of her head before she apparently loses consciousness and sinks below water.

This is when she dies and foreshadows the events that happen after the boyfriend brings her out of the water. She begins running through a white light which is also a hospital hallway, she doesn't understand that she just dies but slows down when she sees herself on the hospital bed trying to be brought back, but being given up on by the doctors. Please note the flatline on the monitor on the right hand side of the screen displaying while the video reverts back to the boyfriend stepping into the tub. Following this, Britney is seen walking to another room in the hospital where a pregnant woman just had her baby, and it portrays her soul passing away but being born again (re-incarnation).

The video then goes back in real time to the events that follow in real time, but by now, even though there's a minute left of the video, the actual story is already told.

We see the paramedics bring her out of the hotel and putting her inside the ambulance as the crazy fans and heartless paparazzi's insist on getting even more pictures. A fan is also depicted with a magazine and a pen, apparently still wanting an autograph. Once again, this was LaChapelle's and Britney's portrayal of when worst becomes even worse, showing the behaviors of certain people out there which Britney has to deal with on a daily basis which adds further strain to her personal life.

We then see a shot that looks as if Britney is running back (away) from the light, but it seems as if the direction she's running towards is still the same, she's just filmed from the back instead of from the front.

The video ends with her appearing right next to the newborn baby which suggest she was re-incarnated into this baby. A personal touch was added due to that the baby is delivered to the mom in a baby-pink blanket, which has been Britney's favorite color since she was a little girl.

Following is the scene where she comes out of the bathtub, and even though it has led most people to believe that it was put there to show that she never died, it is actually a fast forward in time because the Britney that comes out of the tub is actually the re-incarnated baby, the reason why she's smiling which totally does not go with what just happened earlier is because the re-incarnation led her to evolve as a different person, who was just soaking up the tub and smiling about tomorrow's brand new day.

As a conclusion, this video was masterfully created and a lot of thought was put in to it to leave a lot of questions in the open, to create confusion, and to create controversy. The fact that the video superficially suggests suicide will get people talking, although I think that all that Britney cares about is that the people that matter get the idea behind the video. She has a personal life besides her 'business' life, a life that is also filled with personal problems apart from the ones she encounters as a popstar.

We got a sneak peek of what looked like an instance of Britney's personal life during a very rough time, and hopefully, it will make a lot of people understand the latest events much better, the reason why she married, the reason why she has decided to be more liberal in regards to sex and guys and parties......most people think that the change was done overnight, but remember that Britney has always been protected by the geniously created, marketed and commercial image of her brand, if we are shocked by what we see now, it's not because it just happened, it's because she decided she was ready to start showing it.

5 out of 5 stars. Best Britney video ever made.
