and i don't know about this forum, but most of the forums that i visit and the some that i moderate, the UNWRITTEN rule to become a mod is to NEVER ASK TO BECOME A MOD

And you must be patient. Also it is preferred if you know something extra about cellphones that the general public doesn't know about. Junk posting does not make you a mod.

Yep, as alcozma had said,.... u may wanna start off in the new member help forum and try to answer questions posted by newbies,... being an active and helpful member will help u as well.... And u might wanna help the mods for the time being by clicking on the "report post to mod" when u see a junk post etc.

The best way to get noticed is to search the boards and use the
'report this post to a moderator' link if you find anything that breaches the rules of the board ... once you have been active we will notice your efforts and reward you...also if you have knowledge in a particular area you can also pm tavenger5 with details...
...make sure you are familiar with the FAQ's and help newbies when you can with their questions...
.. being a moderator isn't easy - you need to look after your forums daily and ensure they are kept free of junk...
