There are two possible ways to do this, you can find a sound editing program and send a picture with the sound attachment that you edited to "[email protected]" and the sound will be sent with the picture attachment. Then you can save the sound to your phone. The only drawback is that you can only save the sound if it is under 30 kb.
Alternately, you can purchase a third party data cable and look at the thread "mp3 to midi conversion" posted on this site and it shows you a step by step procedure on how to upload mp3's into your phone
