But I have a question, im in Canada and I have bought a Sprint Samsung A600 phone (which is on its way) and I'd like to use it will Bell, which is canada's CDMA providers. I am not sure but I think I heard someone say that Bell says that you HAVE to buy from them or the phone will not work. Is this true? Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

I talked to Sprint customer service and they even offered to check out the serial numbers on any Sprint phone you buy on Ebay to make sure it has not been reported as stolen. They actually told me no problem, buy on Ebay.

I've used Sprint in Calif for many years.
I just bought two phones off ebay & I transferred service right over the phone for both of them.

    - You buy a phone. I prefer eBay.
    - You call your service using "611" & tell them you bought a new phone and want to transfer to it.
    - They will ask for the 11 digit # off the back of the phone and then walk you through a couple steps. Takes total of one minute. I did this last night on my phone and my wifes.

    * I bought Samsun a620/VGA1000 for average of $100. That's on the low side. You can get nice ones for about $120-130.

I would go with Costco or see if you can get a good deal through Sprint if you want to sign a new contract.

Don't know where you are, but in Los Angeles; you can buy a phone without service at Costco. I bought my last Sprint phone at Best Buy and activated it by calling customer service. I pay $30.00 a month for lots o' minutes and would never re-up to a more expensive plan for a stupid phone. Beware!!!!!

I have a cell plan through Sprint PCS that I have had for at least 5 years. I have the original phone that came with the plan. I have no contract any longer. It is not a pre-paid plan. I pay each month for the plan.

I want to buy a new phone because my original one is really outdated. I contacted Sprint and they told me that unless I buy a new phone from a Sprint PCS Store, I won't be able to switch phones.

That doesn't make sense to me but I don't get the whole thing. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
