First, you must convert your images to wbmp format:

    http://elvis.teraflops.com/wbmp/

Then go to www.tagtag.com, register for a free account, and upload your images. Go to www.tagtag.com on your phone, scroll down to the pictures section, and enter the code provided inside your account.

I've got a G4010 and have the same problem as you. Cingular provides you with a somewhat-decent background, though it's still annoying. Maybe this reply will bump this thread to the attention of someone who knows an answer.

I've been trying desperately to get a new wallpaper onto my phone. I figure there must be a way.

My phone only has 4-color grayscale. I haven't seen anything decent to download to my phone from mmode, so I've been trying to create my own and send it. From the research I've done, it appears to be 128x128 (though I've tried smaller just in case). I've tried mailing it to my mmode address, but I just get an "unable to print" message. I've uploaded images to my website and tried visiting the url directly from the Internet menu of the phone, but I just get unavailable.

Has anyone successfully added a new wallpaper to this (or the G4010) phone? It only comes with a handful of wallpapers, and I don't really care for any of them. Maybe I just don't have the image format correct. I've tried both .jpg and .gif formats.

Any help at all would be appreciated!

    Thanks!
