Your phone won't work. But remember.
If you sign a contract for service, any service, there is usually a phone that is offered "free".
Even prepaid packages come with phones.
This will not be your phone and your preferences,
but it will work. Your phone will work when you travel outside the U.S. and Canada. Just put your SIM in your phone. Travel a lot and you will enjoy your phone more.

No, is impossible to conver a GSM 1800 phone to 1900, but you can speak with the company and maybe you can use it because the company have a spectrum of the wabe(1900) and 1800 maybe works

Well... I just bought a phone (Mitsubishi) with Dual Band GSM. (900/1800)
And I just found out that I have to have a 1900 band to work in USA or Canada?
Well... my question is there anyway (buying part or mod the phone) can my phone has a 1900 band?

    Thx
