I have had my Kyocera SE44 for 9 months now & I only had to replace the home charger that came with it because it would not charge it at all when it was 2 weeks old. Until now it has been a great phone. ( except i agree with the small keypad statement) Until now 2 days ago it just started shutting itself off no warning or anything. Very annoying when in the middle of a call, or you think it is on & it is not. Because it makes no noise when it shuts off. The battery is still good so I am fixing to have it checked out.

I actullay work for a cell company and I used the slider for 8 months and loved it I used the slider se47 that was a all digital phone with no analog back up then a later version was released the slider se44 with is tri mode I do aggree that there are complaints about Kyocera in general but I don't think that it was just this phone the phantom phone has had way more problems than the slider it had problems with turning off etc but kyocera is really good about replacing their phones under waranty if you send it in for repair thru your carrier alot of the people that call in to our call center having problems with their phone seems to me like it is either user or their phones alot of the times have moisture damage I am not saying that phones don't have problems sometimes but I don't think that this preticular phone had anymore problems then any other manufacturer.

I just upgraded to the slider and I really like it. It has a lot of cool features and seems like a great deal for anyone looking for something more than just the basics ... color screen, downloadable ring tones, no contract with my Virgin Mobile account, etc.

I have had the phone for about 1 - 2 months and am ALMOST completely satisfied. It's a great phone many features, I love the alarm clock on it only way I wake up. The one thing that I don't like about it (might be service provider or something I did), it works great at FULL bars outside, when you go inside you see the bars go to 0 (the phone still works though) but you get alot more Lost Calls and things like that which doesn't bother me to much since most of the time the phone works flawlessly. I want to get it unlocked however but can't find any one who knows how to.

Well, I just picked up this phone on the 2nd of August and so far, I haven't had any problems at all with it. I have not experienced any call dropouts, phone turning itself off, or switching the default ringer at all. I read a lot about this phone before I made the decision to purchase it. An overwhelming majority of the reviews that I read stated that this was a great phone all around. The only thing that consumers complained about (which I agree) is the smaller than average keypad. It's a bit awkward to use if you have larger fingers, but other than that, I read nothing but positive reviews of the phone. Also, I read that some complained that it was dual-mode instead of tri-mode (another thing I agree on).

The main things that appealed to me about this phone were the speakerphone, color screen, and the unique form factor. Since I was eligible for upgrade from Verizon Wireless on the 1st of August, my decision was either the Slider or the Motorola V710 which just came out. I headed to Radio Shack before the V710 made its official debut in VZW stores to check out the phone & see if I could upgrade to it. Turns out for some dumb reason the Radio Shack couldn't do my upgrade, so I left there without a V710. Now that I look back, I'm actually glad that happened. First, I would've purchased a phone that was way too expensive. Second, I would've purchased a phone that had entirely too many features that I wasn't going to use. The camera didn't interest me in the V710. The only things that interested me in the phone were the speakerphone, tri-mode, & the MP3 player. But I rationalized & came to the conclusion that the Slider was a much more practical solution for me.

Anyways, I have had no problems with my Slider as of yet & don't anticipate any in the future. As of now, I am very happy with my choice.
