Stupid question coming at everyone ~!

Before I hit some button & screwed up my text messaging, I used to be able to write whatever text I wanted but now whenever I hit any letter, it turns into a familar word for me & I don't want that, I want to be able to write whatever I want in the body of my emails.

I don't know what I turned on or off but whatever it is, it's a real hassle, does anyone know how to turn this irritating feature off? on the Nokia 6010

    Thanks~!
