    or you could just use gzip or tar -zxvf for gzipped tarballs..

    A little late, but WinRAR, WinZIP or Power Archiver will handle a GZip archive.

    Yes, winzip can open GZ files. If not you might try WinRar.

    I believe WinZip should handle gzip compression as a built-in capability. HTH.

    i hope someone can help me.....i downloaded these episode guides in .gz format.....the page said that they were in html format but they turned out to be in.gz format...so anyone knows how to open these files?
