glad that worked for ya! you can make the clip longer if you want..i have some on my phone that are about 30 seconds...but the longer the song...the lower the quality you should use because you dont want the file to be TOOO big.

    Thanks for the reply,

I'm cropping the MP3 to a about a 10 second clip and renaming it to a .mid and then uploading it.

    *edit*

I fixed it - All is working well!

thats happens to me with .qcp files but never with mp3's. how are you creating the mp3's?

Thanks to this forum I was able to create MP3 ringtones for my newly acquired VX6000. I have the Radio Shack cable and use bitpim to transfer the files over. When I select a created song, however, it only plays through the headset and not the "ringer speaker." Having an MP3 ringtone that does not play through this speaker is worthless, since you can't hear it in a reasonably loud environment (ie: anywhere outside) It IS plenty loud when you put your ear up to it, like you would when taking a call, but whats the point in that?

Is there something I missed? How do I get the MP3's to play through the "louder" ringer speaker and not the headset? If you can't, what the heck is the point in all of this if you can't hear them!

Great forum though folks. Sorry if I missed the answer to this question but a search and browsing for an hour was to no avail.
