The Italian soccer season will start very soon. And it looks like it'll be a very interesting one to watch.

Title holders AC Milan added some depth into their already strong team in the transfer market by getting the like of Stam, Crespo, and Dhorasso. Certainly one of the favorites to win it.

Roma came in 2nd place last season. They lost a few players in the tranfer market but did well to replace them with younger players. Ferrari, Mexes, Perrotta, and Mido the most known. Rudi Voller returns to Roma as a coach and will be determined to do his best with Roma. If the new youngsters and handle the pressure and adapt to the team Roma will be a strong contender for the title.

Juventus had a terrible season and were lucky to end up in 3rd place. They surprised everyone when they announced that the coach of their arch-rivals Roma is the new team manager. They did lose some promising players in the tranfer market like Maresca and Miccoli. But their transfer market was still a success with the aquisitions of Ibrahimovic, Cannavaro, and Emerson. Another BIG favorite for the title.

Inter finished in 4th place after a disappointing season that was full of trouble inside the club. As usual Inter Milan bought every player they could get their hands on. Veron, Mihailovic, Cambiasso are some of those players. Their biggest loss was losing Fabio Cannavaro to Juventus. Inter's big number of incoming players usually doesn't do Inter much use, but this time Mancini is their coach. A manager that proved his worth in the Serie A. If he can manage to make the new players gel into the team Inter will be a stong force in the Serie A and might finally win the scudetto after a very long wait.

Other teams worth mentioning are Lazio and Fiorentina, Lazio lost a huge number of players this summer and replaced them with younger players. Probably won't be able to win the league but they can cause trouble to the big teams.

Fiorentina are finally back in the Serie A. And bought a big number of players to rebuild their team and try to get back to their glory days. A team to watch this season.
