Some cell phone plans come with call frowarding. Then you wouldn't need anything to route your calls to your homephone. I have never tried, but I always forward my home calls to my cellphone and that works good. I get all my calls on my cellphone whether I am at home or not. The only drawback is that my phpne rings alot. But I have free incoming calls, so no charge to recieve the calls from my house.

I would drop the land line but DSL kicks ass.

I know of three which support some cell phones. All cost about $120 to $150.

    Cell Socket:

    Dock-N-Talk:

    Pantheon:

The Dock-N-Talk seems to have the best support and the most info on thier website.

I have not used any of them but CNet has a review about the Dock-N-Talk:

Is anyone aware of a cradle, a patch cord, or device that one could use to plug into your cell phone and have your home telephone system use your cell phone.

I know they exist as I have a magic black box I bought years ago from Cingular that hooks into my car phone and allows me to use my laptop modem. It basically produces a fake dial tone and fools the modem into thinking its a land line.

I have that working in my hangar on a car phone that has been hooked up to a 12VDC power supply and trucker antenna. The magic box is connected in-line with the car phone. I have a regular Radio Shack 6-port RJ11 adapter hooked to the magic box and I have three very normal everyday touch-tone phones hooked up to this magic box. Each phone can receive calls (the damn things even ring) or make calls.

I want to be able to do the same thing with my Motorola T720. Just come one, plug it into a cradle and 'Presto", my girfriend calls my cell phone and I can answer the call on my kitchen or bedroom telephone.

Anybody aware of such a magical device for a T720? How about any other kind of cell phone.

    Gadet Man!
