Can anyone at all help me out with a problem that im having with my usb cable. See,i've been told many many solutions and none of them has worked for me.

I've been recently trying to setup WebJal and many other programs such as motorola's "phonebook manager" "rss" and other various programs.

I have installed them all,but I always get the same error for every single program. "Error:Cannot communicate with phone, make sure..." or "Cannot communicate with the iden phone.Make sure cable...". It's become very frusterating, and i've run out of ideas. I've tried various solutions, please, help me out if I miss any.

I have so far, installed and reinstalled the usb drivers.

Rebooted as well as reinstalled windows.

    Reinstalled all the programs.

    Punched the wall.

Called Nextel (Got the Runaround then got magically hung up on)

Called Boost (Got the runaround then got transfered to Nextel.)

Turned the phone on and off and on.

Set the baudrate to all possible baudrates including 19200 and auto.

Set WebJal and all other programs to "Usb".

    Cleaned the connections.

Removed and installed the Motorola brand USB Cable from the phone.

Booted the phone with the cable installed.

Thrown the cable to the floor in anger.

Reinstalled all programs again and again.

Deleted all history of motorola from the registry and other folders then reinstalled again.

    Etc.

Well, thats all I can remember but im sure I did more. I'm pretty sure someone out there knows the answer.

A little more info. I've tried this on many phones including but not limited to,i205,i730,i530,another i205,i285.

Something weird though. Every time I open up an iden program,it always says before the program loads. "Error open Main database File" It only happens on WebJal,rss, phonebook, etc.

I have Win Xp pro installed.

And I have a motorola usb cable.

In all of this crap that i've been through I still wonder one question. "Would I have been better of with a serial Cable???

    Thanks for your help.

I also have a picture of the 2 error messages if it helps.
